Well, at least when it wasn't working they shelved Jagr without much fan outcry. Imagine what would've happened had they done the same with Iggy.

And they would've had to. Iggy was no longer NHL-caliber his final season in Colorado/LA. He could rip one-timers on the power play, but was a complete liability everywhere else, even in a 4th line role.
