At this time of year since the Nucks are always out of the playoffs I'm usually looking for teams to root against, and that list always contains the B's. I'm so impressed with this team, and appreciative of the age of their core, I think I'm going to actually be a Bears fan for one playoff run.

Surprisingly, I don't feel the immediate need to wash my hands after typing that.

The bruins pass the greatest team ever in the 1976-1977 Habs for points and wins in a season.

Now to put this all into perspective, that Montreal team is still the greatest team.....there was no loser point back then (only ties) and they only played 80.

There also was the fact that the goal diff for that montreal team was 216.....yikes! Not something the Bruins are close to.

For Scotty and company to give recognition is notable. The case can be made that this team is worthy to stand alongside (or just off to the side) of that hallowed Habs team.
