Central #1 Colorado Avalanche Vs Central #3 St Louis Blues

Don't sleep on the Blues. I am torn...I really think its a Blues/Lightning final...but the Avs are a tsunami.

Harmfuljays says: Blues in 7......Avs stand around wondering what happened.

Pacific #1 Calgary Flames Vs Pacific #2 Edmonton Oilers

The Battle of Alberta is here (barely) for the first time in 31 years. If Calgary thinks they are going to lock it down and play 1-0 Hockey against the Oilers they've got another thing coming. Hopefully this is not a repeat of the Stars series....fireworks abound! Either way this should be good for the province!

Harmfuljays says: Flames in 6......C of Red!

Atlantic #1 Florida Panthers Vs Atlantic #3 Tampa Bay Lightning

The battle of Florida...while it doesn't have the same ring it should be just as entertaining. The Panthers have the horses but not the experience.
A learning lesson.

Harmfuljays says: Lightning in 7.....3 peat quest continues!

Metropolitan #1 Carolina Hurricanes Vs Metropolitan #2 New York Rangers

2 young teams going at it. Carolina is good. Could come down to Shesterkin Vs Raanta....and Rod.

Harmfuljays says: Hurricanes in 6.....they are just a better team than NY

Avalanche got this. In 6.

Flames vs. Oilers. WOW. Bloodbath coming but I've gotta think McDavid has the series of his life. Edmo in 7.

Panthers need a healthy defence, but their time is now. Cats in 7.

Rangers looked lost but stormed back in three straight. But I've gotta give it to the stronger team. Canes in 5.

Apparently Gretz went 8 for 8 in round 1 and also picked the Blues! Good company!

Panthers swept by the Lightning. I figured they would lose the experience battle but trying to pound the square peg into the round hole every game made a quick series (Brunette!).

Fn embarrassing! But at least it happened in Florida where hockey is already yesterday's news.

The Lightning are on their way! I don't see Carolina or NYR stopping them.

Tampa got their asses handed to them by Josh Anderson and Columbus before becoming a dynasty, so I hope Florida learns something from this drubbing.

Meanwhile, the Blues have absolutely lost their minds against Kadri and Colorado. They're out for blood.

yeah on that note.

https://www.bladeofsteel.com/Nazem-Kadr ... ram-127539

WTF is wrong with people (already know the answer to that)? Its like a whole internet of Razzs that refuses to separate game from reality......its a game folks, relax, throw a coloring book before you decide to hate type. Shit happens when you play it but that doesn't give you license to behave like a violent drugged out lunatic on the internet. Own your own behaviour before you start throwing stones at someone elses!

I get it Kadri isn't exactly a Noble Warrior but that's ridiculous. Good for him and his hat trick!

Good on his wife for exposing these ignorant jokers.

Quote:
“I know some of those messages I got doesn’t reflect every single fan in St. Louis,” Kadri said after helping Colorado take a 3-1 lead in its second-round playoff series. “But for those that hate, that was for them.”

Avalanche dispatch the Blues. Helm ended it with a buzzer beater.

Of course the Rangers end up becoming the cheap shot supervillains of the playoffs. Trouba knocks out Jarvis to start Game 7 in Raleigh.

Yeah Round 2 was a bust. I still think the Canes are a better team but game 7 was a meltdown and they have to fix their fragile goaltending. Not sure when that fanbase became so iffy. 3/4 of the fans were gone with 10 minutes left in the 3rd...left the rowdy Rangers fans to take over. Trashville has competition!

Colorado beating St Louis was not a surprise and the Flames.....well good luck without Johnny!

This round we get to see how the Rangers do when not facing a 2nd/3rd string or EBUP goalie.

I guess its an inevitable Colorado/Tampa showdown unless McJesus can somehow play net too.

Rangers never really faced a true number one goalie on the way to the conference finals, with Jarry and Freddie hurt for the Pens and Canes, respectively. They'll meet the best goalie alive in round three.

At this rate have ANY of the remaining four teams faced a legit starter?

I mean, the Oilers faced off against a resurgent Jonathan Quick, so okay, that counts, but Jacob Markstrom hardly looked the part in any of the five games against Edmonton. Even in the first game they won, he was gawdawful.
