Laine and Crosby shooting positions. 5/16 are deflections!

I imagine that a Tavares mapping would look a lot like Crosby's.

Looks like Niskanen could have just ended Syds career with a vicious head shot to a former teamate. Nhl can't even protect their best player. They must be ready for McDavid to take over.

Crosby looked to be trying hard to not go into the crease or Holtby, only to have the first Cap hit him in the back with a stick, then it looks like his stick hits Crosby's head or shoulder, then as Crosby's falling Niskanen comes in with the stick/glove to his head. The neck snap looks pretty bad. Yeesh. Might be more whiplash than a concussion. Maybe.

Everyone knows I haven't been a Crosby fan, but that isn't what I want to see happen.

Ugly....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wMYnfa30cs

Regardless if it was reactionary isn't the league promoting stick responsibility at all times and a ZERO tolerance for head shots?

The guy couldn't even get off the ice and the cobwebs were evident. Hopefully its not over for Syd but that didn't look good.

Crosby out with a concussion and the NHL doesn't care, because rock 'em sock 'em remains the rule of the land.

Penguins were going to win another Stanley Cup - now not so much.

Crosby playing Game 5. Fuck that. I'd keep him out until at least a Game 7, preferably until the next round. It's just not worth him playing this game with a 3-1 series lead. The Caps will be after him hard, every shift. No reason to risk a career ending concussion less than a week after one. Just stupid.

Eghad....Syd takes a face dive into the boards last night:

somehow....no quiet room........Syd's mushy melon can't take much more. I cringe a little every time he is on the ice now.

Seriously. He's probably 1 big hit away from retirement. I can see Wilson or Beagle doing their best to deliver that hit in Game 7.

Even though he probably should have been suspended for trying to give PK a concussion with the head slams. But hey, he wasn't, so padded hats tipped to Sid.
