Lots of talk on twitter and jokes about how old Michael Bunting is.
Bunting's got great numbers too. Call me a homer, but I think outside of the numbers and fancy stats Seider immediately becoming a #1 at his age should give him an edge. I think its more difficult to do what he's doing than Bunting is.
I'd love to see Detroit have a Calder winner after MacInnis stole one for Barret Jackman from Zetterberg, and they gave it to Tyler Myers instead of Jimmy Howard.
I really don't think Bunting will win but I can't stand the grousing about his age (jokes are kinda funny though). If you don't like the rules that define a rookie as 26 or younger, then lobby the NHL to lower the age...again. Until then, he's a rookie based on the rules in place.
The Calder is Mo's to lose at this point. He'll get it easily.
Sure wish Bo was giving Mo a run for his money for this trophy...but alas.
