Morrow tears his ACL, he's out for 6 months.

We should start a "whatever happened to Brad Richards" thread. Seriously, WTF? I don't even know who his linemates are. PLEASE tell me they didn't shaft him with Fabio. :jerkbag:

I don't like seeing surprise contenders in the race to the basement. Fuck off Stars and get it together.

Surefire way to curse your team: Use the o-so-original marketing phrase "Our Team, Our Time." Yeah, ask Ottawa how that worked out. :yayyy:

Anyway I noticed Dallas has a new AHL affiliate...

Um...don't you want to make it at least a little different from the parent team's logo?

Next year (or any other year) will not involve the services of draft bust Lauri Tukonen. They dealt him to the Tampons for Andrew Hutchinson.

Seriously, those two teams should just stop dealing with each other.

I am stoked about this team. It's going to be right here in Central Texas just north of Austin. Can't wait! I agree about the logo. We aren't that original. Just take a look at our awesome choice for a third jersey this year.

****Actual 3rd jersey planning session commentary****

"Hey...we need a third jersey...what should we do?"

"OOOH!!! Let's do something uber-original...something that will increase sales and seperate us from the other teams in the NHL"...

"Nah..nah...that would be too original. How about we just turn our black jersey white?"

"THAT'S A GREAT IDEA! LET'S DO IT!"

Well, maybe they took this into consideration when they last decided to get 'creative':

Um...isn't the whole idea behind the NHL having home teams wear their darks so that teams on the road only gotta bring one set of jerseys and the home team can wear their darks/thirds all they want? Dallas just kinda fucked that all up!

? If home teams were wearing whites instead of darks, why would teams playing on the road have to bring other sets of jerseys besides their dark ones?

If Dallas decides to wear these white 3rds at home which they no doubt will wear at home, then the visiting team has to bring at least two sets of jerseys along on the trip.

3rd jersey nights are well advertised so other teams will be told well in advance to bring their home jerseys if necessary. Montreal's main 3rd jersey in the past has been a white one as well, and the visitors wear darks for those games.

I was talking about before the whole 3rd jersey thing. Didn't they make the switch to whites for road and darks for home before teams really started to use third jerseys?
