Ah Man, the only time I really have a chance of even listening to the games is the weekend but I'm thinking 5:30 am on a Sunday is a big ask! That said I'll be "home" for Christmas so won't be able to complain about the timezone for long!

I'll say 7-2 Nucks, Sedin line keeps going and Kesler's line lights it up too

Well it was fairly clear by the first period that the boys had absolutely nothing left in the tank,I'd love to know who the hell decided that any team should have 3 games scheduled in a 70 hour period on the road in a different time zone in 3 different cities :argh: That is seriously fucked up imo

Bah! Glad I had to work today and missed this one. Jyrki's law of averages in play - Canes couldn't lose forever and the Nucks are always generous helping teams end their losing streaks. :argh:

Oz - did I read correctly you are coming to Canada for Christmas?

This isn't a simple law of averages: Anyone predicting a win in this game should be ashamed of themselves if they weren't born yesterday. The third game of a three-in-four nights against the worst team in the league, following solid back-to-back wins in tough buildings in the wrong time zone.

That's a loss every time. For most teams, but especially Vancouver.

Good Lord, even the local columnists here don't overreact like this after a bad Broncos loss.

I hate these articles because they start with such a faulty premise: that something must be wrong when a team loses to another team lower than them in the standings.

Even ignoring the circularity (it is these standings which are being used to determine exactly who is better than whom, yet if we know who "should" be winning each game, we wouldn't actually need to play the games which set the standings), the implication is that every year one team should go 82-0-0 and another 0-82-0, with a symmetrical bell curve of everyone else in between. Seeing as this has never, ever come close to happening, you think people would have figured it out by now.

Postscript: The Hurricanes beat Pittsburgh last night in Pittsburgh. Oh noes, how does this happen?! The Post-Gazette must be going nuts! Oh wait, no, the Steelers are still breathing.
