Really Patty? I mean I like Moulson and was hoping the Nucks would pick him up but with Gorges, Moulson, Gionta and Reinhart I wonder if Buffalo may actually move into 3rd or 4th worst team status next year and miss out on mcSavior and Eichel?

I guess even with those guys and the loss of Ernhoff its a really bad team so probably still the worst, but Edmonton does seem to find a way.

Expect an offer sheet out of the Flames.......They've got room to play. Wouldn't be surprised to see them make a play for Subban or OReilly.

Ferraro pointed out that Iggy seemed to be a bad fit with Pitt who played a more up tempo speed game but worked really well in Boston. Doubts that Iggy will have the wheels to keep up with the type of game that Colorado does. Come to think of it Mason Raymond would be a really nice fit in Colorado, just not at the kind of money Calgary threw at him.

Right now I'd pick Colorado as the most likely team of last years playoff teams to miss out next year. Dallas and the Wild look to have improved and Colorado made it, on the back of probably unsustainable goal tending and have lost Stastny. Vancouver on the other hand had freakish bad luck and Tortorella, Edmonton looks like it has improved and may finally put it together, if the Jets find a goalie they'll be better as their young corps gains another year, and Phoenix, well I don't know what to think about Phoenix, they always perplex me. I think everyone will be chasing Colorado for the last spot and some team will surprise, get the bounces and Iggy will be missing the playoffs again.

That's the first thing that I thought was.....Iggy can't keep up with those kids. However they seem to be bringing in some old folks......don't know how that addresses anything to do with the D. Its a head scratcher.

With all of this money Calgary is tossing around you think they could have put something together for one of the RFAs and got more bang for their buck. Instead they just look like kids in a Candy store. I could do that.

Vanek chased the dough, got less than Pouliot (two less years, though).

Also, that Orpik signing is atrocious.

Good luck to Gionta and Gorges in Buffalo. Great guys and warriors who gave their best to the Habs. This game can be cruel sometimes.

The worst signing of the day. Makes a couple of the Calgary signings look pretty reasonable in comparison. Huge chance he does not play out this contract.
