Kind of surprising, I thought they really liked JW.

Great pickup by the Isles considering they only had to give up a third rounder.

I agree ... the posters in that link seem to think Anaheim is going after Kaberle

I was under the impression that Anaheim was basically out of cash. Then they follow this move up by signing Andy Sutton for two years at $2.125m.

??? Chicago dumped him too. Numbers seem decent for a d-man. Is he a pain in the ass?

Isles bought out Witt. I guess to make room for Wishenwell-kissentell.

Sami Pahlsson, who was a pending UFA. Blackhawks wanted a veteran, defensive specialist down the middle. They didn't re-sign him then, but signed John Madden as a UFA that offseason, so they obviously thought it was a need. Wouldn't say it was for little.

Blackhawks had one more year left of Wish, that was it. They decided to go with Cam Barker instead, which was a mistake, but try telling that to Dale Tallon who drafted Barker 3rd overall.
